The start of our herb/flower garden. 300 pounds of border rocks, 700 lbs of stepping stones, a 100 lb concrete birdbath, 10 bags of sand, and 16 bags of gravel. Oh, and 8 bushes planted. Thank goodness for ibuprofen...

The old Chevy truck was a trooper, though, making half a dozen trips to the sand & rock place, the nursery, and Lowe’s. Definitely earning its keep.

Nice. A solid days work. You’ll enjoy it for years after the aches fade.

Oh, while we were doing that, the paving company was busy doing this. Finally, room to park everything! (at least, in a couple of days...)

Recently installed about 2 00 ft. of french drain at my house. That ended up taking around 140 ( 0.5 cu. ft.) bags of river rock. Estimate each bag at around 40 pounds and ....yeah... we were done with slinging rock after that was all said and done.

I swear, it's like the stuff is made out of concrete or something.
